Merchants of Oak Ridge Scholarships
We offer two scholarships, one for a Northwest Guilford High School graduate and one for a Oak Ridge Military Academy current student. Download these forms below and fill out to apply for these scholarships:
Northwest Guilford High School Scholarship
Purpose
To provide financial assistance for college to a Northwest Guilford High School graduate who has demonstrated outstanding academic and personal achievements, and who shows promise of becoming an effective business or community leader.
Award
One scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to a 2024 graduate of Northwest Guilford High School. The Scholarship winner will be announced at Northwest's annual Senior Awards Day event. Funds will be directed to the college or university the student will attend in Fall 2025 and credited to the student's account.
Eligibility
Applicants must be graduating seniors in good standing at Northwest Guilford High School.

Deadline
Completed applications and transcripts must be received by the Merchants of Oak Ridge by Friday, March 29, 2024. Early applications are encouraged.
Terms of the Scholarship
The Merchants of Oak Ridge 2024 Scholarship Award will be paid, on behalf of the scholarship recipient, directly to his or her college or university to cover eligible educational costs. These educational costs must be approved in advance by the Merchants of Oak Ridge Scholarship Committee. Eligible costs may include tuition, university-provided room and board, required educational textbooks purchased through the university or its bookstore, and student activity or course fees charged by the university. Oak Ridge Military Academy Scholarship
Purpose
The Merchants of Oak Ridge seek to provide tuition assistance to a current student at the Oak Ridge Military Academy who has demonstrated academic and leadership potential.
Award
One scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded, to be applied directly to the account of a current Oak Ridge Military Academy student for 2024/2025 tuition or room and board charges.
Eligibility
Applicants must be current students of the Oak Ridge Military Academy in good academic and military standing with a grade point average of at least 2.5.

Terms of the Scholarship
The 2024 Scholarship Award will be paid, on behalf of the scholarship recipient, directly to the Oak Ridge Military Academy to cover eligible costs related to 2024/2025 tuition and room and board at the Academy. The Merchants of Oak Ridge reserve the right to select an alternate scholarship recipient in the event a selected recipient will not attend the Academy or is no longer in good academic and military standing, with a grade point average of at least 2.5, at the time of the award. Final transcripts must be provided to the Merchants by July 1, 2024. Full terms of the Merchants of Oak Ridge Scholarship will be detailed in the official scholarship award letter.
